As the basic matrix for DENTANIUM®, we use the organic biomaterial PEEK-OPTIMA® on the grounds of its proven and excellent mechanical and physical properties. PEEK-OPTIMA® has been used successfully for years as a material for the production of human implants.

The material properties of PEEK-OPTIMA® are further enhanced by us through the integration of a special selection of additives and using special machinery to adjust the finished product to the customer’s specific requirements.

During this processing, the various material properties requested (such as mechanical properties, color, biocompatibility, processability, tribological properties, X-ray opacity, surface properties, etc.) and their interaction within the matrix are optimized specifically to meet the demands of the subsequent oral application.

DENTANIUM® is more than DENTANIUM®. Based on the different requirements made by different applications, DENTANIUM® is offered in the following product groups. The material properties (such as mechanical properties, color, X-ray opacity, etc.) are always tailored to the particular application – meaning that the specific properties are different for each product group.
